Coastal Wood Holidays was rated 5 stars by the national magazine ‘Your Dog’, which gave the cottages the highest marks for comfort of accommodation, dog friendliness of cottages and the local area. We were one of only two self catering cottages in Wales to achieve this top star rating, and one of only a handful throughout the UK to get the full 5 stars.

We are aware that your dogs are extensions of your family, which is why at Coastal Wood Holidays our cottages are pet friendly. Many of our guests say how the area is a pet paradise! Great walks, great beaches and great pet friendly places to visit. In each cottage, you will find our very own ‘Barking’ guide, dog blankets, bowls and treats on arrival. In the communal ‘Old Wood Store’, you will find a treasure trove of extras ranging from dog towels, toys, OS maps, detailed walking routes, even a dog life jacket if you choose to hire our kayak!. Our ‘Barking’ guide highlights the area and will help you have a perfect pet friendly holiday, with a comprehensive list of places to eat and fantastic days out with your dog.

At Coastal Wood, we have a designated 5 acre dog run area with agility area so your dog can have fun and run off the lead. Coastal Wood Holidays is perfectly located for you and your dog to walk from your cottage and along nearby forestry and coastal paths.

The nearby beaches of Amroth and Pendine allow dogs to run along the sand and play in the waves, although some selected areas do have restrictions during peak periods. This will not hinder your holiday in any way due to the size of the beaches. Amroth was a previous winner of ‘Best Dog Friendly Beach’ and finalist for Best Dog Friendly Village’ – so you will all have a warm welcome in the cafe and pubs. At the nearby secret and secluded Marros Sands, you will probably be the only ones walking along the miles of sandy beach ….. even during Summer!
